Good rest is essential to assist in managing painful conditions and aid in recovery.

There can be many physical reasons one cannot get good quality sleep – physical pain, recovering from an injury or surgery, poor breathing habits, compromised airway, poor sleep hygiene, medical conditions, sleep apnea, snoring, and even medications.

These sessions are designed for those that struggle with sleep – getting to sleep, staying asleep and getting good quality sleep, especially when there’s an influence from the musculoskeletal system (posture, breathing, physical tension, pain, etc).

Staying active is an integral part of Janet’s life. She has always had a passion for challenging movement and exercise.

It was through studying fitness, and actively being involved in sports that Janet became fascinated by the body and balanced work. She then (eagerly) began a journey in Pilates training and teaching. Janet strives to help people feel their best through movement.

Mandy Desjardins, of Lively Ontario, holds an honors degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfred Laurier University. She has received her Pilates Mat beginner, intermediate and advanced certifications through ‘Power Pilates’, a classical mat certification program based out of New York City. She has continued her education by studying STOTT Pilates Reformer Certification programs, in the Essential and Intermediate movements. Her passion for fitness and health has driven the foundation of her education and love of Pilates and she hopes that she can inspire that within others.

Tierney is a Registered Physiotherapist who believes the root cause of many health challenges is sleep.

Tierney believed that her own sleep would improve after her kids stopped waking up at night, however, then learned she had a sleep disorder.

With her background in physiotherapy, she chose to dive into the research and then developed extensive programs to heal herself. Tierney sought additional training such as The Bradcliff Method, Buteyko, Right Sleep and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.

In 2013 Hailee graduated from Collège Boreal Massothérapie program with honours and obtained her registration as a Registered Massage Therapist through the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario (CMTO). Continuing her studies at Laurentian University, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelors of Physical Education in Health Promotions.
